Homemade hamburger
Until I came to Okinawa, I had eaten hamburgers only at fast food chains such as Mos Burger. I have a young trauma and can’t eat McDonald’s products. Mos Burger is my favorite. The next thing I like is the freshness burger. Occasionally I don’t have a chance to eat, A&W burger called Ender isn’t bad either. I haven’t eaten Lotteria for a long time. I rarely see a first kitchen.
However, in Okinawa, where American-style steak culture flourishes, there are more hamburger restaurants than Hamburg steak restaurants. I can’t find a restaurant even if I want to eat hamburger steak in Okinawa. However, there are many restaurants that serve hamburgers. Enchilada is a specialty of George Restaurant in Tsuji, Naha, but hamburgers are not bad either. The parlor BIG hamburger beside Oroku Jusco is also quite nice. I’m glad that this place responds to requests for “more sauce” when ordering.
There is also a hamburger specialty store near Sogenji Temple in Naha City. The taste is also good, but the cost performance is bad.

If you want to eat a full-fledged American hamburger in Okinawa, I recommend Woody’s. The location is the intersection where the Yamashita crossing from the airport heads to the remains of the Former Navy Headquarters, runs along the prefectural road 7 bypass, goes through the tunnel and joins the old prefectural road 7. There is an open terrace in front of the restaurant, so it’s nice to eat outside depending on the season. The restaurant is crowded at noon, so when I eat, I often sit outside.
This restaurant has pasta and roast beef bowl as well as hamburger. This restaurant uses Kansas beef. The chef is Canadian. At this restaurant, hamburgers are carefully grilled one by one, so it takes time to serve them. The room is filled with smoke. I recommend eating on the terrace.

The lunch menu costs 1,000 yen for a hamburger. Fried potatoes are included. In addition to the lunch set, it also includes salad and drink. The style of this restaurant is to have a huge hamburger in a paper bag and eat vigorously. I prefer to put the top pickles on a plate and bite the potatoes while eating a hamburger.

There are many foreigners and tourists who visit this restaurant. It’s crowded at lunchtime. Some customers give up and go home. It is a restaurant where customers are polite and cozy. It is okay to visit with your baby. I have visited the restaurant many times with my 6-month-old daughter and my wife.
Pasta is also delicious at this restaurant. Comes with baguette. This may be American style. When you order pasta at a coffee shop in Okinawa, fried chicken and toast are included. I saw it on a TV show before. An on-parade of carbohydrates.
Many people associate Okinawa with soba, Okinawan cuisine, and beef steak. However, there are many taco shops in Okinawa, and many delicious hamburgers. I want only hamburg steaks if possible, but there are few delicious hamburg steak restaurants.
If you come to Okinawa, I definitely want you to eat a hamburger. You might think, “A hamburger costs 1000 yen?” But if you eat, you’ll be satisfied.
